民初剧“千外有千”桥段新鲜，骗局招数层出不穷，老千斗老千，结局出人意表。民初时代，江北千霸屈小豪（曾江）纵横江湖多年，正欲洗手不干，岂料在火车上遇到军阀遗孀叶玲（余安安），屈顿起财色兼收之念，小老千成英雄（温兆伦）亦为叶玲美色所倾倒；欲分一杯羹。屈和成到达上海后，分别用计与玲拉上关系，伺机行骗，但二人发现督军宋仁杰对玲不怀好意，无奈恶妻姚娟（梁舜燕）在旁，才不敢造次，但财权却掌握在杰手，玲根本无法动用。此时，另一名老千江鹏（陈有后）和助手桃红亦想混水摸鱼，行骗督军及玲，屈和成权衡利害，决定暂停斗争，合作将江鹏及桃红赶走。屈化身成经济学博士，诱杰从事炒金活动，将黄金存于银行；然后伺机溶成汽车零件运出，欲与玲远走高飞，屈是否能人才两得？[港剧资料馆]。影片讲述一个身为“夜郎”后裔的青年在归乡追查失踪一事的过程中，意外发现了神秘的夜郎古国，并唤醒了沉睡已久的英雄血液的故事。。In this bitingly satirical film Peter Slovan, a continuous source of trouble for the film functionaries of the socialist Slovakia, tackles an evergreen topic – the corruptive effects of power. Barnabáš Kos, a triangle player at a symphonic orchestra, is suddenly promoted to serve as the head of the said institution, even though both he and his superiors deem him completely unfit for the task. Encouraged in equal parts by this unexpected recognition and the servile praise of his colleagues, Kos’s modesty starts to gradually vanish. The erstwhile bashful and aloof percussionist quickly becomes aware of the advantages of his new office, and begins to realise his increasingly ludicrous artistic ambitions. Ultimately, the submissive marionette turns into a source of public humiliation, and his astonishing career finds an abrupt end. Orchestra serves here as a microcosm that grotesquely reflects the absurd and tragicomic mechanisms of the paranoid apparatus of power.
